Drummer: professional drumset and/or percussionBen Krames

Ben Krames found his passion at the age of five when he began his life as a drummer and percussionist, and has continued to broaden and deepen his practice and understanding of this ancient art and form of communication ever since. Krames, who trained at the Berklee College of Music, has a technical and theoretical understanding of music that makes him a versatile percussive asset to any musical organization.
(he is also a multi-instrumentalist—see bio).

On a deeper level, he has an historical perspective and understanding of drumming as a mystical language, a voice in ceremony and a tool of communication. Krames trained with master drummers in the streets of Havana, Cuba, and is greatly influenced by the visceral, feeling and groove-based rhythms that are rooted in West-Africa and have manifested in various hybrids throughout the New World (Candomble, Santeria, Samba, Rumba, etc.). He is equally competent within popular styles of music (Jazz, R and B, Rock, Pop, Gospel, Country, etc.). An internationally-sought drummer and percussionist, as well as a music educator and clinician, he has performed on nearly every continent, bringing music from nature into culture, and helping unite the world through music.
